  • The different business units of the creative office were placed in a functionalist concrete arched hall designed by architect Ole Gripenberg.

The campus facilities are designed to best support the different aspects and needs of work. The aim was not to divide the open arched hall into cubicle offices, but to create a user-centered, functional and aesthetic work environment that is well-acousticized and where technology and functions are flexibly integrated while respecting the original architecture of the building.

On the one hand, the office space consists of large and spacious rooms, and on the other hand, various acoustic conference, retreat and media rooms finished with careful detail. Accurate acoustic specifications have been prepared for the space and an optimized reverberation of 0.3-0.5 seconds. In the surfaces, materials and coloring, Bauhaus aesthetics that match the spirit of the house have been sought, and unique bamboo strip and surface solutions have been innovated.

The focus of the project was already in the planning phase coordinating the overall process and tight lead time with other areas, such as AV and electrical design.

Our clients say

Luomoa was a natural choice for a partner in the project with a shared love for natural materials. The partition walls and fitting rooms were built with a completely new method of indoor building. Luomoa Modular partition walls enabled the use of circular economy in the building of the interior, while fulfilling the specific demands of surface coating and quality of the interior.

The walls received a finishing touch with the ecological Luomoa M² wall panels, which allowed the integration of various functions and devices required by the new store concept, while also allowing modifications based on future needs. Acoustic panels were used to enhance the acoustically challenging environment of the airport. Recycled wool and oak were chosen as the materials for the panels to comply with the carefully curated colour palette of the new store concept.

DESIGN TEAM
Balmuir Store Concept

Our project went really well. I am impressed by the whole process, where the service concept has continued to be absolutely excellent and uninterrupted from the beginning until the end. For example, I have never encountered such considerate installers before.

The concept is comprehensive and always up-to-date, i.e. it is not tied to today's technology. The user of the facility does not have to adapt or get used to it, as the facility is updated easily and cost-effectively to meet changing needs.

Life cycle thinking, recyclability and reduction of construction waste are also important to us.
