LANKKU is an acoustics product that was born as a result of joint development and as a direct response to the customer's needs.

Customer first

In the midst of the upheavals of the busy covid spring 2020, Workspace Oy, an interior architecture company specializing in work environment development and conceptualization, approached us with a problem. Their client urgently needed a high-quality acoustic product for their premises that meets all specifications for a public space, but a good and aesthetic solution had not been found.

Co-creation and collaboration

From the challenging specifications of the interior architect and the customer, a fast-paced and fun co-development process began, where a completely new product was created under heavy pressure and within a tight schedule. Ideas were exchanged in remote meetings and sketches developed through email. In the end, we were so happy with the completed project and product that we wanted to continue product development and make Lankku part of our permanent collection.

Subtle details

The textile used is a high-quality wool and the board options are oak, ash, carbon black or brass. All color combinations and standard sizes can be found in the brochure, and you can also always ask us about other color options.

Lankku is an addition to Luomoa's circular production model, as the product is designed in such a way that we can use surplus materials from our other production in its manufacture and thus reduce waste.
